Repairing teeth with beautiful, aesthetic, tooth coloured composite restorations. Composite is a versatile material and can be used in many situations, from improving the shape and contour of teeth to restoring full biting surfaces.
Modern materials allow us to practice Minimally Invasive Dentistry and maintain as much tooth tissue as possible. With composite material we can then not only repair the tooth but to help strengthen it too.
We are fortunate to be able to have access to the very best of materials and of course. as you would expect, our clinicians are highly skilled in restorative techniques.
When slightly more than a simple filling is required but not enough to warrant a crown, we can use onlays and inlays to restore teeth to form and function. These are very hard wearing as well as being aesthetically pleasing.
Our skilled dental technician will construct the inlay/onlay in the dental laboratory according to guidance from our dental team. Once constructed the inlay/onlay is then cemented into place with dental adhesive.
Inlays and onlays are particularly useful in areas of strong bite where a composite filling might wear prematurely. We can use beautiful white ceramic porcelain (Emax) inlays and onlays or gold depending on your own personal preference.
