Meet our team of dental experts
Bénédict Bättig graduated from the University of Geneva in 2009 and began practising with the schools dental service, where he looked after children's oral health for a year. He also worked as a general dental practitioner in Yverdon-les-Bains from 2009 to 2013, before returning to Geneva in 2013 to work at the C1 dental clinic in Charmilles.
In September 2015, he decided to set up the Seujet Dental Clinic, which opened the following August. Initially working alone in general practice, he was joined in 2017 by periodontist Dr Sebastian Engelhardt and dental hygienist Sylviane Herren-Riboni. His aim was to put together a multidisciplinary team with complementary skills, in order to be able to offer the best possible standard of dentistry.
As a confirmed general and family dental practitioner, Bénédict Bättig provides a full range of restorative dental treatments for both adults and children. Considerate and reassuring, his key concern is helping even the most fearful patients trust their dentist.
In terms of general dentistry, his interests lie particularly in filling edentulous (toothless) spaces with removable prostheses, as well as in root canal treatments to preserve teeth.
Bénédict speaks French, English and (halting!) German.
Sebastian Engelhardt graduated from the University of Freiburg in Germany in 2006 and received the title of ‘Dr. Med. Dent’ in 2007. He completed his academic training with a Master's in Periodontics and Implant Therapy in 2013 and was certified as a specialist in periodontics by the European Dental Association in 2015.
Having moved to Switzerland in 2010, he practised in several dental clinics there before joining the Seujet Dental Clinic in 2016. A firm believer in healthy gums as the foundation for good oral health and quality of life, he focuses his professional activity on periodontal treatments, as well as oral and implant surgery. He is a member of the Swiss Dental Association, the Swiss Society of Periodontology and the International Team for Implantology, where he is head of the ITI Study Club for Geneva.
Sebastian aims to provide complete oral restoration solutions when possible, addressing gum problems first before carrying out any complex prosthetic work, usually in the form of non-surgical treatments and appropriate hygiene measures, but sometimes employing surgical options, such as bone or gum regeneration. He also treats cosmetic issues, such as receding gums, using micro-surgical gum grafts. Dr Engelhardt is also in charge of dental implant treatments conducted in the clinic for patients looking to have one or more missing teeth replaced.
Sebastian has a friendly, caring and open approach, ensuring that patients fully understand every aspect of their periodontal condition, as well as their treatment options. A native German speaker, he is also fluent in French and English.

Our clinic's philosophy
‘We want the same things for our patients as we do for ourselves!’
It is this mission statement and the values associated with it that inspired the creation of the Seujet Dental Clinic in summer 2016.
We seek to ensure our clinic is a warm and welcoming place for our patients. A place where people can come with confidence and leave safe in the knowledge that they’ve done something positive for their health.
We expect our dentists and hygienists to be attentive, reassuring and thorough in caring for our patients. Practitioners who will discuss and explain things, and show our patients what they need to do. Health professionals who are motivated by and focused on individual needs.
In caring for our patients, we aim to use state-of-the-art materials and follow modern and specific procedures. Providing dental care that is comfortable and appropriate for each individual. We want every patient to have the time they need to consider, understand and take on board the information about their particular situation. We want them to leave our clinic knowing they made the right choice.
We strive to use dental laboratories for our patients that share our values. Dental technicians and ceramists who understand how important their work is and the impact it can have on patients’ lives. Skilled and responsible craftspeople.
We are well aware that everyone has their own needs and preferences. We all have our own priorities. We aspire to uphold this mission statement and aim to share it with all our patients.
If dental hygiene is your priority, we'd be honoured to share that priority with you. If your oral health is not a priority but you don't intend to neglect it, we'd also like to put ourselves forward. If you're not aware that dental care should be a priority, we’re definitely there for you. We look forward to seeing you soon at the Seujet Dental Clinic.
